CD's and Stuff.... and "Ask Eric"
|
Mr. Lincoln's 2nd full length CD, two years in the making. Already garnering the band rave reviews, "Everybody almost went somewhere..." is the finest example of the band's sound, and marks the band's growth since their 2000 release, "Bread & Butter".
The guys have been rather busy lately, what with getting married, having babies, and writing music for our third studio album, we've drawn inward, and the music exhibits that. Unreleased songs like "Uninspired", "Tito the Homewrecker", "Drincoln Lincoln", "Ker-Anna", "Sinatra in the Morning" and "My Journal" figure heavily in the live shows, and are availablie in LIVE recordings of varying quality at Rattlehead.com, and other local mp3 sites. Or come down the a show and record them yourself, recording equipment is always welcome (though is succeptable to rule of the venue).

"Everybody Almost Went Somewhere...", recorded at the Danger Multitrack Recording Studio in Providence, RI with Joe Moody is now available for sale. Check out the gig schedule to see when you can come get a copy.

In an effort to give back to all of you, our Mr. Lincoln fans, we give you: "Ask Eric". Eric Correia is a leader in the tire and rubber industry (sometimes referred to in certain circles as "The Duke of Dunlop", "The Master of Michelin", "The Tyrant of Toyo", "The Round Mound of Radials", and so on...) and exhibits a well-rounded knowledge of tires, other car related topics, and other round things. We offer this column to you fans as a gateway to the mind of this man. We accept any inquiries you may have via e-mail. Please respond with "Ask Eric" as the subject of your message.
Our current submission comes from Ms. Mia Sandwich, a school teacher in upstate New Hampshire, who has never seen the band, and stumbled across our website while searching for information on Abraham Lincoln for her annual President's Day lesson.
-
Ms. Sandwich writes:
To whom it may concern,
I am offended at the very thought of a rock and roll band bearing the name of our nation's greatest president. To taint the name of such a man should be considered treason.
My students have been handing in stories of a small band from Providence, RI that sings songs of robbery and deceit to gleeful music, concluding that Mr. Lincoln has truly made a "present dent" on the local music scene in that small New England town. This is a woeful interpretation of the assignment, I admit, but you aren't helping the matter. You are driving me crazy, and I can't get "Stole My Car" out of the CD player.
Sorry to babble.
Change the name, it sucks.
Sincerely,
Ms. Mia Sandwich

Eric's reply, "Maybe some new tires for Christmas would make you feel better. The tires on your car ARE the things that make contact with the road, after all. It might give you a better grip."
